Bethany Hamilton Weds In Hawaii

Bethany Hamilton is now a married woman. Hooray for her! I was so happy to here of her engagement and now her nuptials. Bethany married youth minister Adam Dirks. The couple met on a beach in Hawaii in 2012, and the rest is as I say a blessing. The couple wed before 300 guest north shore of Kauai and I am sure the ceremony was beautiful. We serve an awesome God. Bethany Hamilton lost her arm in a shark attack as a teenager. Her life story inspired the movie Soul Surfer. In spite of her suffering and heartache, she remained faithful to God through it all. Bethany is a great example for today's young woman. On her twitter page, Bethany wrote, "Today was the most beautiful, wonderful best day of my life! God is more than good. Excited to live life with my husband Adam Dirks!". We wish her all the best.

Miriam

Miriam was the big sister of Moses. Her name (sometimes rendered as Mary in English) means 'bitter' although it could also signify 'one who loves or is loved by Yahweh'. Deborah

Deborah was a prophet, a leader (otherwise known as a Judge) in Israel as well as the wife of Lappidoth (Judges 4:4). Deborah means 'bee'. Bees are responsible for pollination of flowering plants. Pollination is what creates seeds that grow into other plants. One third of the human food supply depends on insect pollination of plants and bees play a major role in this 1 . The biblical Deborah, like a bee, fulfilled an active and vital role in bringing life to the community. Background After the death of Joshua, the man who had led the Israelites into the land of Canaan, God raised up Judges to lead and rule Israel.
