Come Let Us Adore Him

Merry Christmas Celebrating the birth of Jesus Have you made room in your heart for the King of Kings

God, I have An Exchange

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the   Lord , that he might be glorified. This past Friday I had the opportunity to attend a women’s ministry at a church in Burlington, N.J.   It was a good night of fellowship with an awesome group of women.   The event, It’s a Girl Thing” consisted of a panel of women which covered topics such as Sex Trafficking, Self Esteem, Abuse, Beauty, Fitness, Health and Wellness. The event was over three hours long so I will highlight my top three favorite inspirational words of encouragement moments from the panel. Balance- Discover what works for you. Stop comparing yourself to other women. Focus on the woman that you are and know that you have a purpose. Embrace the unique person that you are. Confident-Be willing to encourag

Aww The Beauty Of Christmas

Tone It Up for Christmas

Whether we like to admit it or not, we are emotion holders.   We carry the mood in our house (in our family unit).   If something feels off, out of wack, or emotionally unstable, it’s very likely the tone is coming directly from you.   Now this isn’t saying that YOU are the problem, but it definitely saying YOU are the solution! By Kristi Kay With Christmas right around corner let’s take the time to enjoy the season.   Don’t get caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping and decorating or getting frustrated and upset when you can’t find the Christmas tree stand as I did almost losing the joy for a moment.   I realized at that moment, after looking into the faces of my loved ones that it is I who sets the tone of my home by my attitude. It's Ok if you burn the cookies - laugh - make another batch and give some away.   And it’s Ok if you can’t find the right color of ribbon for your tree.   Try something different, you may be surprised that something different

Miriam

Miriam was the big sister of Moses. Her name (sometimes rendered as Mary in English) means 'bitter' although it could also signify 'one who loves or is loved by Yahweh'. Yahweh means 'the self-existent one'. Yahweh is one of the ways the children of Israel referred to God. Meet the family Amram and Jochebed were the father and mother of Miriam, Aaron and Moses. Moses was the youngest of the three yet became the leader of the pack (Exodus 2:3-4; Exodus 6:20; Numbers 26:59). Moses was the man who led Israel out of Egypt. As the big sister of the family Miriam knew all the secrets. Women often get to know about things that men don't. When Pharaoh of Egypt decreed the death of all Israel baby boys in a desperate attempt to curb the growth of Israel, Amram and Jochebed put baby Moses into a waterproof basket and set it on the river in an attempt to save his life. It was Miriam who was watching the basket when the daughter of Pharaoh discovered it. It w

Paying Attention to How We Live

One day we’ll give an account of ourselves to the Lord ( Romans 14:12 ). We must pay attention to how we live. The rich man in  Luke 16:19-31  made the tragic choice of living for himself without regard for the Lord. He also made two other mistakes. First, he invested everything for himself and nothing for the life to come. When we are blinded by our own desires and personal satisfaction, it is easy to become lukewarm about spiritual matters. We forget that this life is not all there is. Scripture tells us to store up treasures in heaven, not on earth. Where our treasure is reflects where our heart is ( Matthew 6:19-21 ). The rich man’s other mistake was to prepare everything for himself and nothing for others. Crumbs falling from his table (v. 21) were the only form of assistance he gave a poor man named Lazarus. The one who had much wealth did not share it with the one who had little. Jesus explained what our priorities should be to love the Lord wholeheartedly

What If I Don't Wait?

God's timing is just as important as God's will. "Abraham's wife Sarah learned this life lesson the hard way "Every time that we will try to conquer God's will our way, we pay a great price. It's dangerous to try to create our own destiny through our own strategy--because we can destroy the good things that God has planned for us in his timing." Sheri Rose Shepherd - Bible Gateway

School Cop Drags Girl From Classroom

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.                    I was waiting for more information to surface regarding the incident involving a school officer and a sixteen year old girl.  This is what is currently being reported:   Officer Ben Fields, 34, was suspended without pay, is now fired after videos filmed by students showed him flipping a 16-year-old girl out of her chair and dragging her across a classroom for refusing a teacher's demand to put away her cell phone.   The video primarily reflects  the officers reaction, but not what precipitated it. In a follow up video it was said that the young lady was asked three times to leave the classroom.   The first voice of authority was the teacher who asked the lady to put away her cell phone or leave the room. Second, a school administrator came to the classroom and asked the young lady to leave the classroom which she refused. Finally, the officer

Tween Goes Toe to Toe With Teacher Who Insists God Is a Myth - You Go Girl!

The 12-year-old girl made her way to the podium in front of a nearly empty room, the school board before her.   Her seventh-grade teacher challenged Jordan Wooley's faith, and Wooley wasn't about to let the teacher bully her into silence.  "Today I was given an assignment in school that questioned my faith and told me God was not real," Wooley began.  Wooley was far from the only student who was offended, but she was the only one who stood up. Watch the video to see her speech.  http://www.charismanews.com/us/52908-tween-goes-toe-to-toe-with-teacher-who-insists-god-is-a-myth

The Planting of the Lord

God uses an infinite number of vehicles in the process of helping us grow. I do not know of any means that leads to instant growth.  I've never met anyone who became instantly mature.  It's a painstaking process that God takes us through, and it includes such things as waiting, failing, losing, and being misunderstood-each one calling for extra doses of perseverance.   Christian growth comes through hard-core, gutsy perseverance Apply your heart to discipline and your ears to words of knowledge. My Desire

Psalm 17:15, NKJV As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.

Trust In the Lord

Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the  Lord  with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.   In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.   Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the  Lord , and depart from evil. Lean not on your own understanding: Give it to Jesus, he is our advocate. Stop trying to figure things out. Rest in His love for you.  In all your ways acknowledge him: Invite God into the situation. Tell God you need him. Surrender it all to Jesus. Repent for any wrong doing on your behalf. Ask God to purify your heart and help you live for him. Be not wise in your own eyes: Don't try to fix it - Give it completely to God - release it - trust God - move on - God sees the bigger picture - live your life.

The Groom and His Bride

Just had the privilege to see a mighty man of God going to visit his beloved in the hospital.  He had just been buzzed in the door to ICU, and was headed to see  his bride.  In his eyes and voice were two undeniable emotions.  The love for his sweet bride was piercing, even in just a few brief moments.  His heartache over her illness and desire to see her restored to health was just as transparent. God immediately showed me a picture of Himself and His love and concern for HIS bride, the church.  His love for her is undeniable.  Who else would die for the bride but someone who was enamored with her and is willing to sacrifice whatever necessary for her to be His, to thrive, and to survive? He is passionate about her.  He knows what is in her best interest.  He tarries and hovers and cares for her.  He protects and guards her.   He is heart broken over her illnesses.  When she hurts he hurts. What illnesses you ask?  Apathy.  Prayerlessness.  Shut-ins.  Low blood flow.  Legalistic

The Degeneration of American Schools: From Revering the Bible to Reviling the Bible

Romans 1:16 KJV For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Did you know that in 1647, early American settlers passed the " Old Satan Deluder Act " to encourage children's education so they could learn to read the Bible? Christian educator Tim Hoy  says: "One of the earliest education laws in our country was passed by the early settlers in 1647, called the 'Old Satan Deluder Act.' The settlers came to America to escape religious and political persecution in Europe. They believed that the persecutions (acts carried out under Satan's delusion) were allowed to take place because of the populace's illiteracy in general and biblical illiteracy in particular. To combat a possible repeat of history in the new land, the settlers mandated that communities with at least 50 families must sponsor a teacher; they must establish a grammar
