The Lord Is My Help

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2  My help cometh from the  Lord , which made heaven and earth. 3  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121 vs:1-4, KJV

God Will Provide

A very poor woman called a Christian radio station asking for help. A bad, evil man who was listening to this radio program decided to make something out of it. He got her address, called his secretary and ordered her to buy food and take to the woman with the following instruction., "when the woman asks who sent the food, tell her that its from the devil.'' When she arrived, the woman was so happy and she started putting the food inside. The Secretary asked her, ''don't you want to know who sent the food''?? The woman answered. ''NO , it doesn't matter, because when GOD orders, even the devil obeys." The secretary broke into tears. Author:  Someone posted on fb

Who Is Your Comforter

The Message Bible - Isaiah 54:11, “Afflicted city, storm-battered, unpitied: I’m about to rebuild you with stones of turquoise,   Lay your foundations with sapphires, construct your towers with rubies, your gates with jewels, and all your walls with precious stones. As women there is something within us that desires to be comforted. There is nothing wrong with t his, but the   question is, who is your comforter? Sometimes we forget that we can go to God for anything. The word comfort means to soothe, console or re-assure; bring cheer to. No one can comfort us like the Holy Spirit. Along this journey called life, we face many challenges. At times you may feel you are alone and no one cares. This is when our judgment or reasoning becomes impaired.  Most often we seek solace in another person, to console, encourage, or basically play the role of the Holy Spirit. For many of us it is usually a man regardless of what he looks like, his status in life, whether he is married

Honoring the Other Mothers

Mothers, Mothers Everywhere My mother's guidance was important to me, but I also had the input of my  grandmothers  and aunts and family friends and mentors. I am old enough to recall when you could get in trouble everywhere in your town by any female adult who felt motherly toward you. If someone caught you doing anything immoral, illegal, disrespectful or even questionable, they were not deterred by the fact that they did not share your particular DNA. If you were wrong, they felt a social obligation to step in and mother you correctionally. This might have involved giving you a good talking to, possibly applying some immediate form of discipline and assuring you that, should you choose not to confess to your own mother upon your arrival at home, your mom would be told. And this was followed by a burning up of the party lines (for those of you under the age of 40, skip it—party lines are too hard to explain) faster than the speed of light so that, when you did arrive home,

In Honor of Mother's Day

At Grandma’s House, Where the light is always on You know how they say, “whenever you see a rainbow it leads to a pot of gold”? Well, Grandma is our pot of Gold There’s a lot of love in my grandma’s house – it’s a place where you can go if you are hungry or feeling low. It’s a place where you can feel Gods hand of protection. Whenever we didn’t feel well, Grandma applied the holy oil. Growing up, we believed the anointing oil was a cure all for all things. And if we had a restless night, Grandma would let us sleep in her room. Grandma always has a word of encouragement or a word of correction, whichever is needed. Her arms are always open and her smile is as big as her heart – this is Grandma’s house – where the light is always on. A strong and gentle lady is my grandma-she raised four kids on her own. A bible in one hand and a belt in the other – with the bible she taught us right from wrong and the belt for when we got out of line. We are thankful for her love, disci

If You Want It

He came into my life so sweet touched my heart now I’m complete. I never thought I would feel this way. Jesus changed my life in every way. When I feel I can’t go on, He gives me strength to carry on. My love for Him it is so strong. He has given me a brand new song. And what He has done for me He can do the same for you my friend. Open your heart, invite Him in. A brand new life in Him begins. He will turn your life around, place your feet on higher ground. No greater love that you will find who gives you joy and peace of mind. The Throne In Heaven - Revelation 4:4-11, NIV 4  Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.   5  From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spiritsof God.   6  Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a se
