Where Are The Spiritual Mothers?

I have asked myself over and over the question that Silver Threads , by Kate Megill of Teaching What Is Good, opens up with: "Where are the Titus 2 women of today? Why have today's young wives and mothers been left to figure out for themselves how to raise a godly family and how run an efficient home?" I believe that this lack of true discipleship has not only left a gaping hole where Paul's instructions have been ignored and pushed aside; it is also, I believe, one reason why we see such a rise of "mommy wars," preoccupation with celebrity gossip and a misunderstanding of the true value of our role as stay-at-home moms. I also believe that it is one reason why moms are so lonely today. There are no older women teaching younger women what it truly means to love their husbands and children, "to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored" (Titus 2:5). Viral ‘Charlie Charlie’ Social Media Challenge Has Kids Trying to Summon Demon With Ancient Ritual

After watching a few minutes of the video I opted not to post.  It grieves me that young people are opening the door to the occult.  Many are unaware of the spiritual implications of summoning demons.  Let’s pray for our young people to be saved and filled with Holy Spirit. It’s dubbed the “Charlie Charlie Challenge” — and it has individuals everywhere attempting to summon a Mexican demon named Charlie through the performance of a paranormal ritual. Individuals are instructed to form a cross with two pencils on a piece of paper. Inside the four boxes created by the pencils, one is supposed to write either “yes” or “no” and then ask if “Charlie” is present. If the pencil moves toward a box with “yes” that supposedly indicates the demon’s spirit is in the room. The challenge captivated the Internet on Monday, with thousands of individuals weighing in on the challenge using Twitter and Facebook. Many tweeted video showing them attempt to summon the demon. http://ww

What Do You Think?

This New Line of Dolls With Disabilities Is the  Best Thing in the World This is so magically wonderful. British toy company Makies allows kids to customize 3-D-printed dolls to their preferences. Which is very cool because it allows children to make dolls in all different sizes, shapes, colors, hair types, and more. And it's gotten even better because they just announced a new line of accessories so kids can design dolls with disabilities and/or birthmarks. This includes hearing aids, a walking stick, and scars. From Makies : In recent weeks, the Toy Like Me Facebook campaign (#toylikeme) has rallied for greater "diversity in the toy box," calling for toys that reflect children in more inclusive ways than the market currently offers. Toy Like Me's Facebook posts of toy "makeovers" by parents of disabled children have been widely shared, reaching an audience of 50,000 and rising — thanks to enthusiastic support from parents eager

God Watches Over Me

I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free, For His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me. “Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear, And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears; Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Spiritual Warfare, Prophetic Declarations Rescue Over 1,000 Women in One of the World's Most Dangerous Cities

The Mexican hotel where 80-year-old Elena de Porras waged the most intense spiritual battle of her life in 1976 is gone, but memories of the Holy Spirit's profound presence and the words she uttered in response to the warfare one life-changing day still flood her mind. So do the names and faces of the 1,032 women whose lives are the spoils of the victorious warfare de Porras waged on her knees in prayer and through a prophetic declaration that day in Juarez almost 40 years ago. Trophies of God's grace, the women are committed followers of Jesus Christ today, living productive  alcohol- and drug-free lives as quilt makers, computer operators, cosmetologists and bakers, thanks to de Porras and Reto a la Juventud, a Bible-based rehabilitation center located in one of the world's most dangerous cities. Miraculous donations of land and money paved the way for Reto to move from two apartments it had rented since 1977 into a modern, dormitory-style building and chapel

I’ll Always Love My Mama

As a young person one of my most hated chores to do was washing dishes.   My siblings and I would argue over whose turn is next.    I recall this one day in particular my mother returning home from work, which was around 11:45 pm to 12 am and the sink was full of dishes.   We were in bed, but I know my siblings heard as I did my mother yelling and asking why is the kitchen a mess?   The sound of clanging pots and pans soon followed.   What a pitiful shame this even occurred.   My mom, a single mother of four children would leave her job only to return home to another.   It was during this time that the Lord began to speak with me about my attitude.   It was not an audible voice, but an inward voice. It wasn't an angry voice, but a quiet gentle voice. The Lord would say to me, “You are the professing Christian of your siblings and I would like for you to wash the dishes”.   I knew it was God, because I would never suggest such a thing. Of course I asked the question, “why me”?

Thankful to God

To godly mothers Everywhere Thank you You deserve a hug for all you do.

The Consequences of Holding A Grudge

A grudge involves holding resentment because of some real or imagined wrong. A grudge develops when you don’t like the way a conflict ended. Nursing a grudge can lead to revenge. Consider the story of John the Baptist in Mark 6 of the Bible. Herod was a tetrarch under the Roman Empire. He fell in love with his brother’s wife, Herodias, who was also his niece. Herodias agreed to marry Herod if he would divorce his first wife. Talk about family conflict! John the Baptist was a rather outspoken prophet who criticized Herod for this marriage. Herod wasn’t happy about the judgment and imprisoned John. He would have killed John but was afraid of how the people would respond to the killing of one of their prophets. Herod wanted to avoid an uprising. Herodias was angry that John called her marriage unlawful. She held this against John and nursed the grudge. She was so angry that she looked for an opportunity to have John killed. In the story, Herod has a birthday party. Herodia

Psalm 84:10-12 For a day in Your courts   is   better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the   Lord   God   is   a sun and shield; The   Lord   will give grace and glory; No good   thing   will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. O   Lord   of hosts, Blessed   is   the man who trusts in You!

Feel Like Job's Twin

CBN.com – Do you feel like Job’s twin? I relate; I’ve faced repeated sudden deaths, sickness, rejection, and seeing horror I never anticipated. My stories will come in future columns and books. Today, let me share about a woman who recently has felt like Job’s twin. On a stop-over in Denver, I decided to shop. I entered a toy store to get a gift for my child-like grandma and discovered I needed to give a gift right then. The South Korean store clerk, whom I’ll call Ann, needed help; She needed Jesus. Tears coated her well-painted face. I put down the singing plush bird and listened to her sad story: Her elderly father remained in South Korea. Her brothers siphoned funds to feed their gambling and drinking appetites. Her mom died. Meanwhile, her 86-year-old dad starves. She felt powerless. She had hit her breaking point. Feel like you’re at your breaking point? Stressed-out? Scared? Lonely? God hasn’t abandoned you. God said, “I will never abandon you.” God guaranteed it i
