A Girl Named Beautiful

For 20 years, Mr. and Mrs. Wen wanted to have a baby. They tried everything their doctor suggested, but were never able to conceive.

“I was so sad—especially when I saw other parents with their children,” remembers Mrs. Wen. “But my husband and I prayed about it for a long time and decided that maybe God had a different plan for us.”

Then one day Mr. Wen heard crying coming from a box on the side of the road. As he got closer, he could see that someone had abandoned a baby. When he looked inside the box, he knew why. The baby girl had a cleft lip. Mr. Wen took her home and named her Jia Lin which means “Beautiful Jade.” The Wens wondered if this was God’s answer to their prayers.

“I fell in love with Jia Lin the minute I saw her,” says Mr. Wen. “And I knew that if my wife and I did not take care of her, she would die. We did not have any idea what to do about Jia Lin’s cleft lip, but we were going try our best to save her.”

The Wens found out that the surgery their daughter needed would cost $1,300 dollars. Mr. Wen works in construction and only makes $150 dollars a month. So, the couple wasn’t sure how they could ever pay for surgery. Then a neighbor told them that CBN had helped his son, who had also been born with a cleft lip.

“I did not know whether or not CBN would be able to help us, too but I just prayed that God would have compassion on us,” Mr. Wen shares. “Then I called CBN.”

CBN arranged free cleft lip surgery for Jia Lin that completely transformed her face and her future. Today, she is perfectly healthy and can eat, smile and laugh just like other baby girls.

Says Mr. Wen, “We thank God for hearing our prayers and sending CBN to help our little Jia Lin.”

Umbrella Lady

I have always admired this picture...the elegant lady with the umbrella...It reminds me of an expression my friend often says, " My Umbrella Has Holes ".  She was speaking of her life and some of the things she had experienced.  When I look at this picture I see my friend, an umbrella with out holes, happy, stately and strong. Do you ever feel like your umbrella has holes?  Life can sure make it feel that way at times.  Perhaps you are a single mother raising children on your own; or a college graduate having difficulty securing a job in your field. You may be a teenager feeling like you don't quite fit in. Maybe you are a victim of rape or incest and you feel so violated that you wonder if you will ever regain your life back. Perhaps you are sadden over a  loss of a job,or dealing with a sickness that have you asking, " Why Me ". These are certainly," My   umbrella has holes moments ". Although we may have our umbrella has holes moments/sea...

What Happen To Your Rulership?

My desire is for women to be restored to their rightful place of rulership of Grace, Femininity, Beauty, Temperance, and Excellence.  Together they work from within and shine outwardly. The enemy of our soul works counterclockwise in that he uses the exterior and destroys what is on the inside. There is a direct correlation between rulership and judgment.  In order to effectively rule, there must be the practice of sound judgment.  When rulership is void of sound judgment, a poor rulership is inevitable.  Rulership is a choice.  You can either rule or be ruled.  Walking in rulership is important because it sets order and establishes boundaries.  God (YAH) has given us rulership over our conduct, appearance, and speech.  These things have rulership over you by choice. Rulership is the difference between YAH's people and the world. Rulership is living the way YAH (God) intended for us to live before the foundation of the world. It is time ...

Miriam

Miriam was the big sister of Moses. Her name (sometimes rendered as Mary in English) means 'bitter' although it could also signify 'one who loves or is loved by Yahweh'. Yahweh means 'the self-existent one'. Yahweh is one of the ways the children of Israel referred to God. Meet the family Amram and Jochebed were the father and mother of Miriam, Aaron and Moses. Moses was the youngest of the three yet became the leader of the pack (Exodus 2:3-4; Exodus 6:20; Numbers 26:59). Moses was the man who led Israel out of Egypt. As the big sister of the family Miriam knew all the secrets. Women often get to know about things that men don't. When Pharaoh of Egypt decreed the death of all Israel baby boys in a desperate attempt to curb the growth of Israel, Amram and Jochebed put baby Moses into a waterproof basket and set it on the river in an attempt to save his life. It was Miriam who was watching the basket when the daughter of Pharaoh discovered it. It w...
