What shall I do Lord? I seem to keep messing up. Open mouth insert foot...So many of us struggle with what comes out of our mouth....One day I was pondering over a situation regarding a disagreement with a family member. I had no clear direction. At first I was going to keep it to myself, but when I heard a friend share the same situation I had experienced, I had to come clean. As I began to share my personal struggle God allowed me to see some mistakes I made in the past and continue to do so. Of course I quickly repented and went to the Lord in prayer. God is a good Father. He knows how to admonish and restore us. God began to talk with me about being slow to speak or in my case "Be Quiet". As women we often like to have the first and the last word. This is not our heavenly Fathers way. If we could learn to hold our peace some situations can be avoided. Over the years I have put this to practice. Don't misunderstand me, there are times when you must stand your ground, but everything should not be a sparring..too much wasted energy. We may not always know the right thing to do, but when in doubt seek the Lord. It does not matter how old or how young, we still need guidance. God who knows our past, present and future will helps us navigate through times of trouble.
