Enjoy Life

Life is to be enjoyed! We often get caught up in the trials of life that we miss taking the time to enjoy the beauty all around us - the laughter of children and ice cream on a hot day. It's singing along with the radio when you hear your favorite song, even if the words are not right. 

 So many people are stressed, over worked and unhappy. Ask yourself, when was the last time you smiled? And what makes you happy as a person? This is a simple question, but  many find it difficult to answer. What makes me happy as a person is taking time for tea, long scenic walks, potato salad made right, spending time with friends, the love of family and spending time with God. Some people prefer the glitz and the glamour, but I have discovered it's the simple things in life that are priceless and produce abundant living.

Feed My Sheep

Umbrella Lady

I have always admired this picture...the elegant lady with the umbrella...It reminds me of an expression my friend often says, " My Umbrella Has Holes ".  She was speaking of her life and some of the things she had experienced.  When I look at this picture I see my friend, an umbrella with out holes, happy, stately and strong. Do you ever feel like your umbrella has holes?  Life can sure make it feel that way at times.  Perhaps you are a single mother raising children on your own; or a college graduate having difficulty securing a job in your field. You may be a teenager feeling like you don't quite fit in. Maybe you are a victim of rape or incest and you feel so violated that you wonder if you will ever regain your life back. Perhaps you are sadden over a  loss of a job,or dealing with a sickness that have you asking, " Why Me ". These are certainly," My   umbrella has holes moments ".
