When God Decides Who You Are


He calls you chosen, royal, holy and His very own. Will you live by His definition of who you are?


At some point, all of us have conformed to the world's lies. Our actions and lifestyles validated them. But now that we are in Christ, we have turned our backs on those lies. It's time to find our true purpose.

Paul prayed that "the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance among the saints" (Eph. 1:18).

Christ embodies every dream and hope, not only in heaven but also as an inheritance for you on earth. He gives you purpose, plans and a future. His death defines your life.

When I look at God's holiness and then look at myself, it seems impossible that I have been created in the image of God. Looking at ourselves, we can only see what is possible. But looking at God, we can see the impossible:

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Pet. 2:9).

God defines you because He has chosen you. He separated you from the world to bring you back to Himself. He delivered you out of darkness into the light so that you can declare His praises. You belong to Him, having been purchased with the priceless blood of His Son. He calls you chosen, royal, holy and His very own. Will you live by His definition of who you are?

Pray with me:
Father, redefine my life today. I have turned away from the world's standards, and I no longer heed its lies. Transform me. Renew my mind and guide me on the path of righteousness. I want to see Your beauty and light when I look over my life. I ask to see myself as You see me. Reveal Your love and truth to me. It's in Your precious name I pray. Amen.

Deborah

Deborah was a prophet, a leader (otherwise known as a Judge) in Israel as well as the wife of Lappidoth (Judges 4:4).  Deborah means 'bee'. Bees are responsible for pollination of flowering plants. My desire is for women to be restored to their rightful place of rulership of Grace, Femininity, Beauty, Temperance, and Excellence.  Together they work from within and shine outwardly. The enemy of our soul works counterclockwise in that he uses the exterior and destroys what is on the inside.
