People Need the Lord

What a mighty God we serve!  I am so thankful that He is mine and I am His.  God indeed is a good God and I had the opportunity this week to share His goodness with a friend.

I have recently come to know this person. He likes to joke around, especially about dying.  He often says, “If only God would kill me.  I have been begging Him for years to let me die. God has a sick sense of humor”, this he says with a smile and laugh. People need the Lord my friends.  I’m not sure how the conversation with him started, but God gave me the opportunity to share His love with him and to listen to his hurt, pain and regrets.

My friend lost his wife many years ago to cancer.  He could not understand why a loving God would allow his wife to have cancer, suffer and die.  He said, “I was the one who did all the bad things.  I drank, did drugs and a host of other things, why her?  I once was a believing man, but not anymore”.  Out of their pain and anger, he and his wife came to the conclusion that God is not real, the Bible is a collection of fairy tales and they both turned away from God. In his own words, he said, “to hell with God”.  When the doctors told him his wife had only a few days to live, he asked his wife if she wanted to speak with a minister or a priest, she declined. His wife also requested to not have a funeral, but to just bury her, which he honored. Jesus! Jesus!

I listened quietly to my friend and then I shared the love of Jesus with him. As I spoke with him, I saw the hurt and anger on his face.  More importantly, I noticed he was fighting back tears.  He is very bitter and hardened by the trials of life.  And even though he says he still does not believe, I know that God is still at work in him.  My role in this is to continue to pray for him and show him the love of God.

Let’s be real my friends.  We have all experienced the loss of a loved one or a friend. We have experience pain, hurt, trials and tribulation.  John 3:16 says,

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

We must come to the place where our faith and trust in God becomes greater than our circumstances. We may not understand it all, like it all or even agree, but God is sovereign.

Finally my friends, let us take a moment today to pray for our family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. You never know what someone may be going through.

What Happen To Your Rulership?

My desire is for women to be restored to their rightful place of rulership of Grace, Femininity, Beauty, Temperance, and Excellence.  Together they work from within and shine outwardly. The enemy of our soul works counterclockwise in that he uses the exterior and destroys what is on the inside. There is a direct correlation between rulership and judgment.  In order to effectively rule, there must be the practice of sound judgment.  When rulership is void of sound judgment, a poor rulership is inevitable.  Rulership is a choice.  You can either rule or be ruled.  Walking in rulership is important because it sets order and establishes boundaries.  God (YAH) has given us rulership over our conduct, appearance, and speech.  These things have rulership over you by choice. Rulership is the difference between YAH's people and the world. Rulership is living the way YAH (God) intended for us to live before the foundation of the world. It is time ...

Feed My Sheep

Jesus Reinstates Peter John 21:15-20 New International Version (NIV) When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said,  “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him,  “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,  “Do you love me?”  He said, “Lord, you know all things;  you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Feed my sheep.     Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”   Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death ...

The Shunammite Women

2 Kings 4:8 - 37 The Shunammite woman was a wealthy and well respected person in the society. This is how the Bible described her. In Deborah we saw a leader, in Hannah a prayerful woman, in Abigail an intelligent woman and the Shunammite a wealthy and well respected person in the society. This gives us a true picture of how the Bible views woman. The Shunammite woman had a kind heart. Keeping your heart right, full of love and empty of bitterness is the secret of receiving from God. The Shunammite woman used her kindness and wealth to entertain a prophet (2 Kings 4:8-10). She got blessed with a child because of her kindness. This was inline with God's promise (Matthew 10:41). The Shu nammite woman had three qualities that are essential in every woman of God. Contentment  A kind heart (compassion)  Persistence The Shunammite woman's life teaches us important lessons about these three essential qualities. Contentment (1 Timothy 6:1- 10) When Elisha asked t...
