They sure don’t make em' like Jim Johnson anymore.  If you saw the movie “Hidden Figures”, you know what I'm referring to. I have always heard that if a man truly loves a woman he will do whatever he must do to have her. I’m not certain what percentage of women would agree with this statement, but I believe there is some authenticity to it. Many of you are familiar with the story of Jacob and Rachel of the Old Testament  - (Paraphrasing)  After Jacob was beguiled by Rachel’s father, believing the woman he was marrying was indeed his beloved Rachel. Awaken the next morning to discover he had married Leah, Rachel’s older sister. Jacob devastated inquired of Rachel’s father of what he had done. He said to Jacob, “I will give you Rachel as well, but you must serve me another seven years”. Outside of my bedroom window stands a tree which towers over my house. It is a beautiful sight to behold in the Fall season. During my quiet time this morning, the Lord spoke to my heart regarding this tree. I have a friend who has cancer and we are praying and believing God for her healing. My heart was heavy because of my friend and for others who are faced with challenging situations, especially at Christmas time.  In my spirit, I was reminded of  these words the Lord spoke to me, “You must live in faith and die in faith”. As I stared gazing out the window at this tree, I heard the Lord say, "Each year the leaves on this tree change colors and fall to the ground. The tree never changes its position, but stands in faith trusting that next season it will produce new leaves never seen before".  We must be like this tree.  There are just some things on this side we are not going to understand and this is when we must lean on our faith.  The bible says the j...

  Looking forward to decorating the tree with lots of lights and ornaments.  Each year I change it up a little by adding a different color.  This year I will be adding a splash of pink...
