Welcome Valentines Day

They sure don’t make em' like Jim Johnson anymore.  If you saw the movie “Hidden Figures”, you know what I'm referring to. I have always heard that if a man truly loves a woman he will do whatever he must do to have her. I’m not certain what percentage of women would agree with this statement, but I believe there is some authenticity to it.

Many of you are familiar with the story of Jacob and Rachel of the Old Testament  - (Paraphrasing)  After Jacob was beguiled by Rachel’s father, believing the woman he was marrying was indeed his beloved Rachel. Awaken the next morning to discover he had married Leah, Rachel’s older sister. Jacob devastated inquired of Rachel’s father of what he had done. He said to Jacob, “I will give you Rachel as well, but you must serve me another seven years”. Jacob served another seven years for Rachel, but it seemed like only days to him, because he loved her.  This is what I call love.

Please read the full account in Genesis Chapter 29

My personal favorite of what I refer to as true love comes from a passage in Matthew, 13:44-46

The Parable of the Hidden Treasure

44 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy, over it, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

The Parable of the Pearl of Great Price

45  “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

I believe when you meet that right person it brings joy to your heart. It causes you to do things you never imagined. Life just feels good.  I call it euphoria to the tenth degree.  There is something beautiful about falling in love. I mean falling in love with the right person that is. Love protects and takes pleasure in being good to you. Sometimes as women we are so eager to have a man that we tend to settle just to say we have one, but in the end, you pay a price.  I believe God wants us to have His best. In order to have His best, it is important for us to know how valuable and loved we are by our heavenly Father. As you begin to comprehend how loved you are by God, it  will change you. His love revealed to you will help you to become more discerning of a person's true character.

Know your worth
You are like a treasure hidden in a field
A pearl of great price

Happy Valentine’s Day

What Happen To Your Rulership?

My desire is for women to be restored to their rightful place of rulership of Grace, Femininity, Beauty, Temperance, and Excellence.  Together they work from within and shine outwardly. The enemy of our soul works counterclockwise in that he uses the exterior and destroys what is on the inside. There is a direct correlation between rulership and judgment.  In order to effectively rule, there must be the practice of sound judgment.  When rulership is void of sound judgment, a poor rulership is inevitable.  Rulership is a choice.  You can either rule or be ruled.  Walking in rulership is important because it sets order and establishes boundaries.  God (YAH) has given us rulership over our conduct, appearance, and speech.  These things have rulership over you by choice. Rulership is the difference between YAH's people and the world. Rulership is living the way YAH (God) intended for us to live before the foundation of the world. It is time ...

Feed My Sheep

Jesus Reinstates Peter John 21:15-20 New International Version (NIV) When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said,  “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him,  “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,  “Do you love me?”  He said, “Lord, you know all things;  you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Feed my sheep.     Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”   Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death ...

The Shunammite Women

2 Kings 4:8 - 37 The Shunammite woman was a wealthy and well respected person in the society. This is how the Bible described her. In Deborah we saw a leader, in Hannah a prayerful woman, in Abigail an intelligent woman and the Shunammite a wealthy and well respected person in the society. This gives us a true picture of how the Bible views woman. The Shunammite woman had a kind heart. Keeping your heart right, full of love and empty of bitterness is the secret of receiving from God. The Shunammite woman used her kindness and wealth to entertain a prophet (2 Kings 4:8-10). She got blessed with a child because of her kindness. This was inline with God's promise (Matthew 10:41). The Shu nammite woman had three qualities that are essential in every woman of God. Contentment  A kind heart (compassion)  Persistence The Shunammite woman's life teaches us important lessons about these three essential qualities. Contentment (1 Timothy 6:1- 10) When Elisha asked t...
