Outside of my bedroom window stands a tree which towers over my house. It is a beautiful sight to behold in the Fall season. During my quiet time this morning, the Lord spoke to my heart regarding this tree. I have a friend who has cancer and we are praying and believing God for her healing. My heart was heavy because of my friend and for others who are faced with challenging situations, especially at Christmas time. In my spirit, I was reminded of these words the Lord spoke to me, “You must live in faith and die in faith”. As I stared gazing out the window at this tree, I heard the Lord say, "Each year the leaves on this tree change colors and fall to the ground. The tree never changes its position, but stands in faith trusting that next season it will produce new leaves never seen before". We must be like this tree. There are just some things on this side we are not going to understand and this is when we must lean on our faith. The bible says the just shall live by faith, (Hebrews 10:38). I pray this Christmas that our faith will not waiver, but remain strong in God who is able to keep us from falling, (Jude 1:24).
