Unshakeable Faith


He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.  I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.   Whatever is has already been,  and what will be has been before;  and God will call the past to account.

Ecclesiastes  3:11-15




Another year is coming to a close and a new year will soon be here - out with the old and in with the new.  The one constant in all this is Jesus.  Regardless how things change, He remains the same; and  His word never changes.  Popular culture may change with its worldly ideologies and life style,  but God is who He is no matter the year, day, hour, minute and second, selah.  


As we embark upon 2014 my thoughts are, "God, help me to stay focus on you". I want to keep my focus on Him who is constant, everlasting and Unshakeable. I perceive for this coming year that our faith must be unshakeable.  


Looking forward to another wonderful year - May we walk in the favor of God

Umbrella Lady

I have always admired this picture...the elegant lady with the umbrella...It reminds me of an expression my friend often says, " My Umbrella Has Holes ".  She was speaking of her life and some of the things she had experienced.  When I look at this picture I see my friend, an umbrella with out holes, happy, stately and strong. Do you ever feel like your umbrella has holes?  Life can sure make it feel that way at times.  Perhaps you are a single mother raising children on your own; or a college graduate having difficulty securing a job in your field. You may be a teenager feeling like you don't quite fit in. Maybe you are a victim of rape or incest and you feel so violated that you wonder if you will ever regain your life back. Perhaps you are sadden over a  loss of a job,or dealing with a sickness that have you asking, " Why Me ". These are certainly," My   umbrella has holes moments ".
