Robin Williams - Laughter and Sadness

The news that Robin Williams had died, hit me hard. This incredible funny man was introduced to me as an alien on Mork and Mindy. Immediately, one could see the quick wit of a comedian destined for stardom. He made us laugh! Then he broadened his stage to movies and made us cry, cheer and feel intense emotions. Both laughter and sadness were emotions he managed to bring out in all of us. And now, as it appears he died at this own hand, we feel sadness as we remember his laughter. Williams, like so many people, battled depression. We know in 2006, he checked himself into an alcohol rehabilitation center after 20 years of sobriety. Alcohol and drug use often co-exist with depression. He talked openly about his cocaine addiction during the 1970s and 1980s. We know that in 2009, Williams underwent aortic value replacement surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Depression is not uncommon for people with heart disease. Depression can increase the...

You Are Loved

Psalm 139:14, I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works and my soul knoweth right well.              God considers you to be a marvelous work in His sight.   He knew you while you were yet in your mother’s womb. He is acquainted with all your ways.   Every part of your body was uniquely fashioned by the Father.   You are not a mistake, but were chosen in Him before the foundation of this world, Ephesians 1:4.   God’s love for us is so great that He tells us in His word, who can separate us from His love? Romans 8:35-39.   God showed His love for us when He sent His son Jesus to die on a cross for our sins. How wonderful it is to be loved.   Share with someone today the wonderful gift of God’s love.

How Would you define what a Godly young woman should be?

If we look at the Proverbs 31 woman we can find out so many things. What becomes clear straight away is that she is very active! God has often blessed us with many talents, but the Proverbs 31 woman is using them! She is doing business in the areas she is talented in, she is helping the poor, not by pulling them up to her standard, but by getting down and walking through their struggles with them. She is majorly committed to her family and their needs, not because she has to but because she wants to. Her dress is also an outward expression of her heart, she was clothed in silk and purple! A lot of people think of modesty as dull and drab, but the Proverbs 31 woman was modest and clothed in silk and purple, which was the height of fashion in those days! The main thing that is apparent is that she is totally submitted to the Lord, and if you are totally submitted to the Lord your life will look somewhat like hers. She is actively and busily serving the Lord in ALL the ways she can. Th...

Enoch

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Genesis 5:24 How did Enoch know God so intimately when at the time there was   No Church No Preacher, Evangelist or Ministries And No Bible ? The holy spirit The third member of the trinity, who was there when the world was created. This same holy spirit is always at work in us, John 16:13, revealing to us the counsel of God as it relates to our daily walk with the Lord, worship and developing a personal relationship with Him.

Anne Frank

Seventy years ago, Anne Frank made her final diary entry from her hiding place in Amsterdam on Aug. 1, 1944. Anne lived in the Secret Annex at 263 Prinsengracht with her family for two years during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II, documenting her life faithfully in her diary during that time. In her last entry, Anne was introspective and wondered about how people would perceive her. "I'm afraid that people who know me as I usually am will discover I have another side, a better and finer side. I'm afraid they'll mock me, think I'm ridiculous and sentimental and not take me seriously," she wrote. "I'm used to not being taken seriously, but only the 'lighthearted' Anne is used to it and can put up with it: the 'deeper' Anne is too weak." Three days later on Aug. 4, the SS, working on a tip from an informer who has never been identified, raided the hiding place. All eight people in hiding wer...
