Welcome 2015

New Beginnings – It’s Time!

Moving Forward

As the 2014 year comes to a close I want to thank God for His love.  I am now starting to truly understand that God loves me. And if you are not aware, God loves you.  I believe that if we can carry this thought into 2015, we can have peace as we enter the new year. Happy New Year

My Prayer For 2015

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.   I will say of the   Lord ,   “He is   my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

I Just Love It!

I hope there are tea rooms in heaven filled with beautiful tea sets, scones and a variety of teas - LOL

My Family At Christmas Time

Christmas is a joyous time in our home.   We celebrate the birth of Christ with the giving of gifts, decorating our home, a Christmas Eve gathering and a Christmas day feast.   On Christmas Eve we welcome friends over for dessert, coffee, etc.   This year I opted to not have our annual Christmas Eve get together and just have a time of relaxation. I was tired from the hustle and bustle of shopping, working long hours and little sleep. But my 17 year old niece was not so happy with my suggestion.   She had invited her friends over from school to join us. Well, scratch that suggestion. Celebration back on.   Then I began to reflect back over the years the many people who stopped by our home.   Our neighbors, close friends and unexpected visitors. For some Christmas is a lonely time and it helps to know that someone cares. So, I am thankful to my niece for reminding me that it’s not about me, and that it’s more than just a family tradition.  Merry...

And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord,     And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. Luke 1:46-47,NKJV

Sunday Morning Worship

God   is   our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 NKJV There are times when our mightiest warfare is to shelter quietly in the strong defences of our God.   Our finest strategy is sometimes to “rest in the Lord and wait”.

Baby It's Cold Outside

Staying home and making a pot  of country chicken soup with corn bread muffins    This is one of my favorite soup to make at Christmas time.   The house is warm and cozy and the aroma of homemade soup  fills the air.   Christmas   My favorite time of year
